Need a little help?

We are glad that you want to take part in the 3-Minute Fame Competition! PhD students from all universities in the EU GREEN Alliance are invited to participate in this exciting competition. Present your research to an international audience in a three-minute video! This is how you can participate:

• Create a three-minute video in which you explain your research in an understandable way in English.
• Submit your entry through the official platform.
• For applicants to OVGU: You can obtain professional support from the Media Centre as follows:

You can now reserve a 15-minute time slot at the OVGU Media Centre. The slots are available from 8 to 12 December 2025. Simply send an email to stefan.belling@ovgu.de and you're in!
During your time slot, you will have 3 to 4 chances to shoot a great video for the competition. Your final entry should be between 120 and 180 seconds long – so keep it snappy!

During recording, we will display your slides on a monitor directly next to the camera, which will then be recorded via an HDMI recorder. Please note that your slides must be in 4:3 format to ensure optimal fit. Send your slides to stefan.belling@ovgu.de in advance and make sure to use the OVGU logo correctly. You can find help on this at https://www.cd.ovgu.de/

Before you go to the studio, it is worth practising your presentation – perhaps in front of a mirror or by recording yourself on your smartphone. Your presentation should be delivered freely and without notes. The recordings take place in the studio in Building 18, Room 102. Please arrive about 15 minutes before your booked time slot.

The top 3 winners from each university will present their work at the EU GREEN PhD Summer School 2026 in Wrocław, Poland, in April 2026. Good luck and, above all, have fun at the 3-Minute Fame Competition!
