Webinar Series: Horizon Europe Pillar II

OVGU’s Research Funding Support Office is launching a new webinar series open to all universities of the EU GREEN Alliance. The series is designed to support researchers and research support staff in strengthening their engagement with Horizon Europe and in developing successful, collaborative research proposals across the alliance.

With a focus on Pillar II and its six thematic Clusters, the webinar series provides structured insights into the strategic priorities of Horizon Europe, current and upcoming funding opportunities, and key requirements for competitive proposals. Participants will gain a clearer understanding of how European funding instruments align with institutional research strategies and EU GREEN’s thematic strengths.

Across the series, experts from OVGU’s Research Funding Support Office will share practical guidance on upcoming calls, expected impacts, eligibility criteria, and proposal development, drawing on experiences and lessons learned from previous application rounds. The series is especially suited to researchers and administrators who are new to Horizon Europe or seeking to expand their involvement in EU-funded collaborative projects.

By fostering cross-border exchange and raising awareness of shared funding opportunities, the webinar series contributes to EU GREEN’s long-term strategy of increasing visibility, networking, and participation in European research and innovation programmes. It aims to empower participants to play an active role in shaping impactful, European-scale research projects within the alliance.

Target Audience:
Researchers, research managers, and research support staff from EU GREEN universities with an interest in Horizon Europe and consortium-based EU funding.
